About the course
Aim
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
Subject Knowledge:
- Systematically integrate and apply knowledge acquired during studies to solve a production-related task in mechanical engineering.
- Apply methodological and subject-specific knowledge from the field of mechanical engineering.
- Use systematic methodology and theory to analyze technical products/systems and solve a given task.
- Analyze mechanical products from a production and assembly technology perspective.
Individual and Professional Skills:
- Be able to comprehend the content of relevant technical literature and relate their work to it.
- Be able to search for and evaluate scientific literature in engineering.
Working in Groups and Communication:
- Formulate relevant questions for the task and define its scope within given time frames.
- Plan, execute, and present a mechanical engineering development project focused on machine design, production technology, or wood technology.
- Express themselves professionally in writing and speech.
- Actively participate and take individual responsibility in a project group.
Engineering Competence:
- Create, analyze, and evaluate technical solutions.
- Make assessments considering relevant scientific, societal, and ethical aspects.
- Evaluate the context in which mechanical engineering issues are studied.
Content
The students will work on an industrial production project. They will address cross-technological problems, which is a cornerstone in the development of production engineering systems and equipment. In this course, students are trained to apply a proper scientific methodology when working on their projects.
