About the course
Aim
The aim of the course is for students to further develop their ability to formulate and solve problems using programming. After completing the course, students should be able to:
- construct programs in Python using both basic and advanced data structures and control structures, including exception handling.
- implement recursive algorithms in Python to process recursive data structures.
- use and implement higher-order functions.
- collaborate by following common working methods, communicating, and creating a group contract.
Content
The course is a direct continuation course to “Programming in Python, basic course”, and the course content partly consists of an in-depth study of:
- programming concepts
- the Python programming language and its constructs
- testing and debugging methodology
In addition, the course covers the following new areas:
- recursive data structures and recursive algorithms
- exception handling
- simpler aspects of functional programming such as higher-order functions
- Examiner
- Jonas Kvarnström
- Scheduled hours
- 50 h
- Main field of study
