About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna: - redogöra för och använda olika typer av samhällsvetenskapliga forskningsmetoder - kunna bearbeta och analysera olika typer av data på ett fördjupat sätt. - kritiskt granska mindre forskningsarbeten.
Content
Perspektiv på kvantitativ och kvalitativ forskning, 7,5 hp I delkursen behandlas såväl kvalitativa som kvantitativa forskningsmetoder. De studerande granskar även vetenskapliga artiklar med hänsyn taget till vetenskapsteoretiska samt forskningsmetodiska perspektiv. Vidare behandlas vetenskapsteori och samhällsvetenskapliga forskningsmetoder i relation till det utbildningsvetenskapliga fältet. Insamling och analys av data samt presentation av forskningsresultat, 7,5 hp I delkursen ägnar de studerande sig åt insamling och analys av olika typer av data såväl som redovisning av forskningsresultat. Delkurs två avslutas med ett PM för ett planerat uppsatsprojekt.
