About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna
- diskutera folkhögskolans framväxt, organisation, uppdrag och mål
- genomföra, reflektera och värdera sin egen undervisningspraktik
- identifiera och kritiskt granska folkhögskolans utmaningar i relation till aktuell folkbildningsforskning
- beskriva och reflektera över innehåll och form i folkhögskolans undervisning i förhållande till folkbildningens grundläggande idéer och värden.
Content
I kursen introduceras folkhögskolan som särskild utbildningsform. För folkhögskolan centrala dokument som exempelvis förordningen om statsbidrag till folkbildning kommer att behandlas, tillsammans med aktuella idédokument och exempel på folkbildningsforskning. Deltagaren genomför en kortare fältstudie för att få ett vidgat perspektiv på utbildningsformen och folkhögskollärarens arbete. Därutöver behandlar kursen undervisning på folkhögskola utifrån didaktikens centrala frågeställningar. Deltagaren får identifiera och reflektera över det egna undervisningsämnets innehåll och karaktär, samt öva sig på att organisera undervisning. Kursdeltagaren får reflektera över undervisningen med särskild fokus på folkbildningens idéer och grundläggande värden till exempel vad gäller demokrati.
