About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska studenten kunna
- diskutera folkhögskolans framväxt, organisation, uppdrag och mål
- beskriva, reflektera över och värdera egen och andras undervisning i förhållande till folkbildningens grundläggande idéer och värden
- genomföra, reflektera och värdera sin egen undervisningspraktik
- identifiera och kritiskt granska folkhögskolans utmaningar i relation till aktuell folkbildningsforskning
- planera, genomföra och utvärdera ämnesintegrerad undervisning i ämnesövergripande grupper, i relation till folkbildningsuppdraget, egna ideal och undervisningens omständigheter
- genomföra och reflektera över de former för bedömning av deltagares kunskaper som förekommer inom folkhögskolan, samt hur dessa relaterar till undervisningens innehåll och form.
Content
I kursen introduceras folkhögskolan som särskild utbildningsform. För folkhögskolan centrala dokument som exempelvis förordningen om statsbidrag till folkbildning kommer att behandlas, tillsammans med aktuella idédokument och exempel på folkbildningsforskning. I kursen genomförs en kortare fältstudie för att få vidgat perspektiv på utbildningsformen och folkhögskollärarens arbete. Därutöver behandlar kursen undervisning på folkhögskola utifrån didaktikens centrala frågeställningar. I kursen identifieras och reflekteras över det egna undervisningsämnets innehåll och karaktär, samt övning på att organisera och genomföra olika typer av undervisning, till exempel ämnesintegrerad. I kursen reflekteras över undervisningen med särskild fokus på folkbildningens idéer och grundläggande värden vad gäller demokrati, hållbar utveckling och normkritiska perspektiv på undervisning. I kursen behandlas också folkhögskolans former för bedömning. Det ingår också att beskriva och analysera olika undervisningsstrategier och deras konsekvenser för deltagande och lärande.
