About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna
- tolka begreppet folkbildning ur ett historiskt, idéhistoriskt och samtida perspektiv
- beskriva folkbildningens innebörd som påverkansprocess på individ-, organisations- och samhällsnivå
- identifiera olika sammanhang där folkbildningsverksamhet organiseras och genomförs
- diskutera folkbildningens roll ur ett demokratiskt, etiskt och kulturellt perspektiv
- tillämpa vunna begrepp och perspektiv genom fältnära studier av folkbildningsverksamhet och kommunicera detta i skriftlig form
- tolka och jämföra skilda idé- och värderingsgrunder i folkbildningsverksamheter
- diskutera folkbildningens betydelse i relation till Agenda 2030 och olika hållbarhetsdimensioner.
Content
I denna kurs behandlas olika perspektiv på folkbildning, både i och utanför studieförbund och folkhögskolor, bibliotek och kulturinstitutioner. I kursen behandlas folkbildning som idé och företeelse, dess utveckling, nuläge och uppgifter. Särskilt behandlas följande teman:
- Begreppet folkbildning
- Folkbildningens idéhistoria och historia
- Folkbildningens pedagogik och etik
- Kultur som begrepp och uttryck i folkbildande verksamhet
- Folkbildningens utmaningar och målgrupper
- Folkbildning och hållbarhet
