About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:
- beskriva, förklara och tillämpa grundläggande begrepp inom kvalitativa metoder
- tillämpa, värdera och motivera val av kvalitativa undersökningsmetoder och analystekniker
- presentera och försvara valda undersökningsmetoder och resultat
- problematisera och kritiskt värdera vanliga kvalitativa undersökningsmetoder och dess resultat
- diskutera kunskapens roll i samhället och om människors ansvar för hur den används etiskt
Content
I kursen ingår grundläggande begrepp inom kvalitativ forskning, vilket inkluderar metoder för både datainsamling och analys. Inom ramarna för detta behandlas den kvalitativa forskningens utmärkande drag jämfört med andra forskningstraditioner och hur detta relaterar till samhällets kunskapsutveckling. Vidare behandlas tillvägagångssätt för att planera och genomföra vetenskapliga studier, från att ta fram förslag på undersökning till att designa, förklara och utvärdera olika upplägg och resultat.
