About the course
Aim
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- report the different stages of the construction process in the normal case and describe what these stages contain
- give an account of different forms of contracting and forms of compensation and their applicability in different contexts
- explain the meaning of drawings and a description prepared according to AMA
- establish planning documents for the production of an object.
- report on the execution process based on a turnkey contract
Content
The students will get an overview of the design and construction process after a building permit has been approved. The course aims to prepare students for future roles in the construction process, in the contractor, customer or consulting area. The course will provide students with basic knowledge of the various stages of the construction process regarding procurement, tendering, calculation, planning and production. The course will also provide an orientation on construction measurement in the workplace.
