About the course
Aim
The course will give fundamental knowledge of useful methods for stress and strain analysis with applications for simple constructions and load cases.
Content
Simple homogeneous states: linear elasticity, elementary plasticity theory, trusses, thermo load. Multiaxial states: principal stresses, Hooke's generalized law. Bending: internal variables, geometries of flat surfaces, bending stress, shear stress, equation of the elastic line, elementary cases, buoyancy increase. Tourqe: circular cross-section, buoyancy increase. Plane conditions: the boiler formulas. Instability.
