About the course
Aim
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- describe and explain basic concepts related to indoor environment of buildings
- perform calculations on technical installation systems in buildings
- reflect on the building as an energy system and the building in an energy system
- reflect on technical installation measures for new production and renovation
Content
The overall goal of the course is to convey a systems perspective on the building's energy and technical installation systems as well as the building's indoor environment.
The course will therefore provide practical experience of energy simulation and design and theoretical depth in performing installation technical calculations. The course include:
- thermal comfort and air quality
- buildings' heat balance, design power and energy demand
- heating and ventilation systems in buildings
- tap water and hot tap water systems
- control systems in buildings
