About the course
Aim
After completing the course, the student should be able to:
- describe and explain basic concepts related to indoor environment in buildings
- perform calculation on systems related to building physics and building components
- perform calculations on technical installation systems in buildings
- describe and reflect on the building as an energy system and the building in an energy system
Content
The overall goal of the course is to convey a systems perspective on the building's energy and technical installation systems, as well as the building's indoor environment.
The course will therefore provide practical experience of energy simulation and design and theoretical depth in performing installation technical calculations. The course include:
- thermal comfort and air quality
- building physics, heat and moisture
- buildings' heat balance, design power and energy demand
- heating and ventilation systems in buildings
- control systems in buildings.
