About the course
Aim
The overall goal of the course is for the student to be able to tackle an experimental or theoretical physical problem to which the answer is not known, solve this and present the results obtained both orally and in writing. The course will give the student the opportunity to get closer to the real world of engineering through a project work. The project work will develop and consolidate the participants' competencies in the following areas:
- Structure and delimit a physical problem
- Apply theoretical or experimental methods and analyze results
- Present results orally and in writing
Content
The specific course content varies depending on the project, but generally it includes:
- The theory associated with the project
- Relevant measurement methods or calculation methods
- Analysis of measured or calculated data
- The results are presented orally at a half-time review and presented in their entirety at a final seminar.
- The written report must take the form of a short article in a scientific international journal in the field of physics.
