About the course
Aim
- to improve the student’s skills in communicating science. In particular, to improve the ability to summarise, to present, and to discuss scientific research in different ways. To this end, the students will learn about oral presentations, scientific writing, poster presentations, and webpage making.
Content
Lectures about scientific publishing, about how to review a written scientific text and how to provide efficient critique. Discussions about oral presentation techniques. Peer-review of two Master’s theses of fellow students. Writing of a CV. Seminars about how to present scientific research as a poster and as a webpage. A final seminar where the students present their Master’s thesis projects as oral presentations, as posters, and as a webpage.
