After the course the students will be able to:
- Explain mechanisms and the function of animal behaviour
- Plan, design, conduct, and present an ethological experiment
Content
Ethological concepts and methods, including the genetical background of behaviour patterns, function of behaviour, cognition from a behavioural ecology perspective, evolutionary origin of behaviour, and examples of models used in behavioural ecology research.
