About the course
Aim
The course will provide in-depth knowledge of the CAD tool's role in the product development process and how it is used effectively. After the course the student will be able to
- demonstrate ability to plan for the creation of a complex CAD model of a major product consisting of several subsystems.
- make strategic decisions regarding the model's overall structure.
- make effective use of a widely used tool for product data management.
Content
Planning of CAD projects. Model and product structures. The choice of nomenclature. Integration of CAD system / PDM systems. Product data management with PDM systems.
