About the course

Aim

Efter avslutad kurs skall den studerande kunna

diskutera faktorer som kan påverka första- och andraspråksutvecklingen
redogöra för svenska språkets struktur ur ett andraspråksperspektiv
diskutera lärares didaktiska överväganden för att främja flerspråkig utveckling
redogöra för teorier om flerspråkig utveckling och språkutvecklande arbetssätt med fokus på årskurs F-3
diskutera undervisningsämnets innehåll, struktur och organisering i förhållande till aktuella styrdokument
reflektera kring språk, språkanvändning och språklig variation i förhållande till kultur och identitet
resonera om flerspråkig undervisning som stimulerar lärande med stöd i litteraturdidaktiska teorier med fokus på årskurs F-3
redogöra för och problematisera litteracitet ur ett flerspråkighetsperspektiv
diskutera andraspråksinlärares språkutveckling utifrån relevanta teorier och modeller.

Content

Kursen fokuserar flerspråkiga elevers språk-, läs- och skrivutveckling på ett andraspråk med ett särskilt fokus på elever i årskurs F-3. I kursen ingår studier av svenska språkets struktur, såsom morfologi, fonologi, syntax i ett tvärspråkligt perspektiv och faktorer som kan påverka språkutvecklingen. Kursen innehåller såväl ämnesteoretiska som didaktiska moment där lärarens överväganden i det flerspråkiga klassrummet för alla elevers språk- och kunskapsutveckling diskuteras. Kursen behandlar även språkliga normer samt attityder till språklig variation utifrån kultur och identitet. Litteraturdidaktiska teorier med fokus på utveckling av flerspråkiga elevers läsupplevelse, förståelse och tolkning av skönlitteratur på sitt andraspråk i årskurs F-3 tillämpas.
