About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna
- analysera engelskspråkig skönlitteratur med fokus på experimentella estetiska praktiker
- diskutera och analysera engelskspråkiga litterära texter på muntlig och skriftlig engelska, med utgångspunkt i grundläggande vedertagna litteraturvetenskapliga metoder och begrepp
- planera en serie lektioner om engelsk litteratur på målspråket anpassad för grundskolans årskurs 7-9
- kritiskt diskutera och motivera planerad litteraturundervisning i grundskolans årskurs 7-9 med utgångspunkt i aktuell litteraturdidaktisk forskning
- kritiskt tillämpa lingvistiska teorier och metoder i analyser av språkliga data
- planera en serie lektioner i uppgiftsbaserad grammatik på målspråket anpassad för grundskolans årskurs 7-9
- kritiskt diskutera och motivera planerad grammatikundervisning i grundskolans årskurs 7-9 med utgångspunkt i aktuell språkdidaktisk forskning och språkinlärningsforskning
- skriva vetenskaplig text i enlighet med vedertagen språk- och litteraturvetenskaplig skrivtradition med avseende på struktur samt citat- och källhantering
- demonstrera hög språklig och stilistisk säkerhet i olika sammanhang med tonvikt på formell engelska
- genomföra en uppgift inom givna tidsramar.

LitteraturstudierDelkursen ger en orientering i experimentella skönlitterära verk ur den engelska och amerikanska kanon från 1900-talet och framåt.
LitteraturdidaktikUtifrån litteraturdidaktiska perspektiv övar studenten på att planera en serie lektioner för gymnasieskolan som utgår från skönlitteratur på engelska.
Task-Based GrammarFördjupade studier i pedagogisk grammatik med utgångspunkt i uppgiftsbaserat lärande och dess inlärningsteoretiska och språkdidaktiska ansatser.
SpråkstudierDelkursen ger en fördjupad orientering i språkvetenskap med tonvikt på tillämpning av språkvetenskapliga metoder och begrepp på engelskt språkstoff.
