About the course
Aim
On completion of the course, the student shall be able to
- reflect and problematize Swedish education policy and the Swedish school system
- relate to, with a critical attitude, different constructions of teacher identity and learning styles
- compare the relation between rhetoric and practice in the education and teaching practice of different countries.
Content
Throughout the course, the student develops knowledge about Swedish education policy and the Swedish school system. Teacher knowledge, identity and leadership are problematized. Furthermore, the student discusses and studies education and teaching from a comparative social scientific perspective.
