Content

Kursen behandlar teorier om läs- och skrivutveckling liksom teorier och metoder för läs- och skrivundervisning. Här ingår kartläggning av elevers läs- och skrivfärdigheter samt övning i att identifiera tecken på läs- och skrivsvårigheter. Dessutom behandlas faktorer av betydelse för barns språkliga utveckling såsom flerspråkighet och socioekonomisk bakgrund.

Barn- och ungdomslitteraturens historia och moderna och digitala gestaltning studeras och kopplas till skolans värdegrund. Dessutom behandlas grundläggande litteraturdidaktiska teorier, liksom litterär textanalys och litteratursamtal. Litteraturdidaktiska frågeställningar diskuteras även i relation till skolans värdegrund.

Vidare diskuteras hur lärare kan arbeta med både elevtexter och andra texter i klassrummet. I detta arbete ingår analys, värdering och bedömning av elevtexter och andra texter med avseende på deras byggnad och struktur. Detta görs utifrån skrivdidaktiska frågeställningar med stöd i aktuell forskning. Utöver det akademiska skrivande som tillämpas i kursens olika skriftliga uppgifter, innehåller kursen möjlighet att skriva olika typer av text som förekommer i skolans undervisning.

Kursen innehåller även grundläggande studier i svenska språkets struktur på ord-, sats- och textnivå. Här ingår enklare grammatiska analyser, och grammatikens funktion i svenskundervisningen behandlas.

I kursen ges dessutom en språkhistorisk orientering samt studier av nordiska språk, minoritetsspråk, svenska dialekter och andra språkliga varianter. Här ingår genus-, klass-, och etnicitetsaspekter av språket.

Bedömning i ämnet svenska behandlas utifrån aktuella kursplaner, och kursen innehåller moment med ett flerspråkighetsperspektiv på språk och litteratur.
