About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs skall den studerande kunna
- förklara relationen mellan vetenskapsteoretiska antaganden och analysmetoder
- sammanställa och kritiskt reflektera över tidigare forskning
- diskutera kvalitativa och kvantitativa metodansatser
- identifiera och argumentera för val av forskningsmetodiska ansatser
- resonera kring relationen mellan vetenskaplig grund och beprövad erfarenhet och dess betydelse för yrkesutövningen
- planera en empirisk studie.
Content
Kursen behandlar frågor om vetenskaplig kunskap samt betydelsen av ett medvetet vetenskapsteoretiskt förhållningssätt. Olika forskningsansatser, perspektiv och metoder samt olika datainsamlingsmetoders och materials möjligheter och begränsningar med relevans för det utbildningsvetenskapliga området diskuteras. Likaså diskuteras relationen mellan vetenskaplig grund och beprövad erfarenhet, samt forskningens betydelse för fritidshemmets praktik. I kursen presenteras och diskuteras olika sätt att sammanställa och analysera olika typer av data. Relationen mellan val av metod, perspektiv och empiriskt material samt den utformning en undersökning kan ges problematiseras. I kursen granskas utbildningsvetenskapliga forskningspresentationer.
