Swedish as a Second Language 3, in-depth course

Aim

On completion of the course, the student should: - have broadened and advanced knowledge of Swedish as a second language - have developed an ability to reflect on research-oriented questions - independently be able to carry out, present in writing and review a linguistic research assignment on the subject of Swedish as a second language.

Content

The course contains in-depth studies of the Swedish language, as well as language development, culture and didactics. The student should independently be able to influence the contents and, in consultation with the course coordinator, choose the course literature in parts of the course. The course also contains studies of research methodology in the subject. In the course, the student also carries out and, in the form of an essay, presents an independent research assignment. The essay work includes studies of literature of relevance to the essay and review of another student's essay.
