Religion and Politics, basic course

Aim

On completion of the course, the student should be able to: - account for modern religiopolitical history and debate in the United States, among other things including the civil religion debate, - discuss modern American religiopolitical presidential rhetoric in different political fields, - demonstrate ability to identify, analyse and problematise the religiopolitical phenomenon in the United States, - demonstrate ability to orally and in written form, communicate the results of an independent study in the subject area of religion and policy, with an academic approach

Content

The course mainly consists of a study of the religiopolitical phenomenon in the United States, but also includes an opportunity to write a work in religion and policy with another focus.
