About the course

Aim

Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:

översiktligt analysera Romarbrevets argumentation mot bakgrund av dess historiska, kulturella och litterära kontext
ge exempel på och sammanfatta teologiska huvudlinjer i brevet, särskilt frågan om Guds nåd
relatera bibeltexter som behandlas i kursen till centrala tvistefrågor i brevets tolkningshistoria
kritiskt diskutera tolkningar av Romarbrevet

Content

Kursen ger en introduktion till Romarbrevet och dess teologiska innehåll. Detta grundläggande studium har ett särskilt fokus. I Romarbrevet återkommer Paulus till frågan om Guds nåd. Denna teologiska fråga lyfts särskilt fram i kursen. Dessutom är Romarbrevet en av de bibelböcker som har haft störst inflytande i den kristna kyrkans historia, och det betyder att det finns många sätt att tolka brevet. Kursen ger en orientering i olika tolkningstraditioner. En del av kursen är att kritiskt diskutera sådana tolkningar.
