About the course
Aim
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: - account for and critically review scientific theoretical and methodological problems linked to the first centuries of the Christian church - account for main features in the historical development during the earliest centuries of the Christian church - independently analyse, orally and in written form present and discuss chosen specialities in the first centuries of the Christian church.
Content
The course mainly consists of independent studies. Support in the form of supervision will also be included. Since the student chooses the reading list, which, however, should be approved by the coordinator, the emphasis of the course contents may differ. The contents are based on a reading list of high scholarly quality, such as theses and comment literature, as well as source materials. The reading list should be presented both in writing and orally.
