About the course
Aim
After completion of the course the student should at an advanced level be able to: - analyse, apply, and master theories of labour economics; - identify and explain various phenomena in the labour market; - critically assess and develop new ideas based on empirical results, reports, and scientific papers in labour economics.
Content
The course strengthens students understanding of traditional topics, as well as introduces modern themes in labour economics. The student should immerse in at least one contemporary topic in labour economics that the teacher and the student decide together. The connection between theoretical and empirical labour economic research will be emphasized in this course.
