Intensive Introductory Course in Swedish before the Qualifying course, level 2, 7.5 fup

Aim

Efter slutförd kurs ska studenten behärska svenska språket på nivå A2, enligt Europarådets gemensamma referensram för språk. Det innebär att studenten efter avslutad kurs ska kunna:- förstå meningar och vanliga uttryck som rör omedelbara behov (t.ex. grundläggande information om individ och familj, inköp, lokal geografi, sysselsättning),- kommunicera i enkla och rutinmässiga sammanhang som kräver ett enkelt och direkt utbyte av information,- i enkla termer beskriva delar av sin egen bakgrund, sin närmaste omgivning samt förhållanden inom områden som rör omedelbara behov.

Pronunciation, Oral Exercises and Aural Comprehension, 2 pointsThe course comprises tasks and exercises with the emphasis on being able to ask questions, and introduce maintain and finish off a conversation. The following elements are to be convered:•The Swedish vowel and consonant system prosody•Aural comprehension•Oral exercises in the form of presentations•Dialogues, discussions etcReading of Texts, 2 pointsIntensive training of reading skills based on short texts connected with Swedish society and cultural life. Grammar and Training in Written Swedish, 1 pointThe course deals with basic grammatical comsepts and terms. Students study Swedish morphology and syntax and do short accompanying written assignments and exercises.
