About the course
Aim
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: - apply the ability to create textile products, - account for and use different methods of using textile sketching techniques, - analyse and formulate the ability to realise ideas in textile design, - present and communicate a personal expression in textile and acquire a knowledge of textile materials, - independently assess and evaluate the process and results of the sketching process.
Content
The course contains sketching exercises in different materials and techniques, as well as drawing different textures and materials, with a specialisation in textile. The focus is on analyses and overviews of the usability of sketches in textile creative work. The own textile sketching is verified in discussions with a crafts aspect and an artistic aspect. Also included are exercises in composition with the computer as a tool.
