About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:
- redogöra för utmaningar och möjligheter kopplat till olika källkategorier i historiska arkiv
- kritiskt diskutera arkivmaterials potential som historiska källor
- läsa och tolka äldre text
- kritiskt reflektera över arkivordningar och arkivprinciper
- kartlägga en arkivhandlings historia från dess tillkomst till idag
Content
Kursen är indelad i tematiska moment, med utgångspunkt i olika delar av det historiska källmaterialet. För varje område behandlas tillkomsthistoria, arkivbildning samt möjligheter och brister med arkivmaterialet som historisk källa. Paleografiska utmaningar samt kritiska perspektiv på arkiv, inklusive digitala arkiv, är integrerat i de olika momenten.
