About the course
Aim
On completion of the course, the student should be able to: - demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of the structure and systematics of Swedish national law - demonstrate general knowledge and understanding of the structure and influence of the EU/EC law on Swedish law - demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of central legal concepts within civil law, mainly concerning property law - demonstrate basic skills in law interpretation and case analysis - demonstrate basic ability to identify and solve less complicated but frequently occurring civil and, above all, property law issues - critically reflect on legal positions regarding the application of relevant rules in commercial law.
Content
The course covers, in addition to the structure of the court, the different legal sources and how legal rules are created and applied, a basic study in Swedish civil law, namely contract law, sales law, law of damages, credit law, creditor and execution law and economic family law. Further, the course contains a general overview of the basics of EU/EC law and the common market and its rules influence on Swedish law.
