About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:
- redogöra för vetenskapsteorins grunder och medie- och kommunikationsvetenskapens vanligaste metoder
- självständigt reflektera över och analysera medieinnehåll och medieprocesser
- genomföra samt muntligt och skriftligt presentera en begränsad egen forskningsuppgift
- granska och diskutera egna och andras vetenskapliga texter
- i dialog med olika grupper diskutera hur egna värderingar och ställningstaganden påverkar bedömningar av medierelaterade frågeställningar
Content
Kursen består av två delar; vetenskapsteori och metod samt uppsats. Under den första delen presenteras kommunikationsvetenskapliga analysmetoder och en introduktion till vetenskapsteori ges. Under andra delen av kursen skrivs en uppsats på fortsättningsnivå. I kursen ingår att skriva uppsats samt att opponera på en annan uppsats.
