About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna: - administrera, tolka och återkoppla psykologiska tester, muntlig såväl som skriftligt - tillämpa neuropsykologiska kunskaper på psykologiska tester - redogöra för hur neuropsykologen arbetar och tillämpar neuropsykologisk kunskap på klienter och patienter - redogöra för olika neurovetenskapliga metoder med särskilt fokus på hjärnavbildningstekniker - redogöra för hjärnans och nervsystemets utveckling, uppbyggnad och funktion - redogöra för och reflektera kritiskt kring neuropsykologiska och neurobiologiska begrepp - tillämpa kunskaper om neuropsykologi och neurobiologi på kognitiva funktioner med ett kritiskt förhållningssätt - redogöra för de vanligast förekommande neuropsykologiska avvikelserna - kritisk reflektera kring vetenskaplig litteratur inom ämnesområdet
Content
En grundläggande orientering i neuropsykologens yrkesroll ges, inklusive kännedom om neuropsykologisk testning. Administrering av psykologiska tester, neuropsykologisk tolkning samt återgivning av testresultat till klienter och patienter tränas.
I kursen behandlas grundläggande neuropsykologi och neurobiologi. Kursen behandlar hjärnans generella funktion och struktur samt vilka konsekvenser olika avvikelser kan ge. I kursen behandlas hjärnans och nervsystemets utveckling, struktur och funktion, inklusive neuroanatomi och nervcellernas kommunikation. Vidare ges under kursen förutsättningar för att göra relevanta kopplingar mellan hjärnans struktur och grundläggande funktioner samt till kognitiva funktioner. Etiskt förhållningssätt och hållbar utveckling appliceras under alla delar i kursen.
