Knowledge and Communication

Aim

On completion of the course, the student should be able to

• communicate orally and in writing, independently and in groups, and reflect on communication processes,
• describe basic preconditions for knowledge development and learning, reflect on them and apply them as a student in the programme.

Content

The course begins, in conjunction with the start of the programme, with a series of seminars on knowledge development, higher education and learning. The course is thereafter directed towards developing skills in written and oral communication. This parts covers some basics regarding rhetoric, information retrieval and finding, assessing and relating to various sources, as well as the writing process. Exercise is also included, in the form of written and oral communication with relation to courses in the programme.
