Theoretical Philosophy - Master Course (one-year)

Aim

On completion of the course, the student should have: - advanced knowledge of some central problems and theories of theoretical philosophy, - broader knowledge of another discipline of theoretical philosophy, - developed the ability to independently handle, produce and assess complex argumentation, - developed the ability to carry out a research assignment independently.

Content

In several of the courses, the teaching may take place at another higher education institution or in the form of distance education. Seminar, 7.5 HE credits The seminar, which is compulsory, may present current research or bring up a central and current complex problem. Individually selected course, 7.5 HE credits In consultation with the supervisor, a course that in an appropriate way supplements the courses that were completed in Theoretical Philosophy, advanced course is chosen. The supply of such courses may vary from semester to semester. Thesis, 15 HE credits The student should carry out an independent research assignment. The subject is chosen in consultation with the supervisor.
