About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:
- resonera om förhållandet mellan språk och samhälle
- redogöra för och diskutera faktorer som påverkar människors språkbruk
- redogöra för relationen mellan språkets formella och sociala aspekter
- genomföra en avgränsad språksociologisk studie
- skriva språkligt korrekt sakprosatext
Content
I kursen behandlas hur språk och samhälle påverkar varandra. Vidare diskuteras språklig variation och faktorer som påverkar vårt sätt att använda språket, exempelvis ålder, kön, sociala aspekter, etnicitet och geografiskt ursprung men även samhällets utveckling. Dessutom genomförs en avgränsad språksociologisk studie.
