Swedish for Foreign Students, basic course

Aim

After completing the course, the students should be able to - Individually write ordinary Swedish texts, - On their own participate in different speech situations, - Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the Swedish language structure, - Account for the Swedish language expression and linguistic variance function in different situations and on their own further develop these skills.

Content

Oral Proficiency (7.5 HE credits) Oral Proficiency includes the following: - proficiency exercises in Swedish pronunciation and Swedish sentence intonation, - exercises in presentation technique, argumentation technique and discussion contributions, - listening comprehension exercises. Written Proficiency (7.5 HE credits) Written Proficiency includes the following: - Swedish spelling and writing rules, - grammar, - vocabulary exercises and phraseology, - own written production, such as summary, argumentative texts, reports and instructions.
