About the course
Aim
The general aim of the course is that the students should develop their communicative ability in Spanish. This is made in a context where students develop knowledge about Spanish-speaking countries with an emphasis on current socio-economic relations, both based on a national and international perspective. On completion of the course, the students should, in speech and writing, and with such precision in the language that it can be understood and accepted by a professional in economics or in related fields within the Spanish language area, be able to - describe characterising socio-economic factors and conditions for countries in the language area - describe current countries' and companies' conditions and driving forces for economic interplay with other countries - in a general way, relate these current conditions to the modern economic development of the country - identify and relate differences and similarities in the preconditions and economic conditions to the conditions in Sweden.
Content
The course builds on the previous language courses Communicate in Spanish 1-3. Through the study of documents with primarily social and economic contents, the linguistic communication ability is trained towards more linguistic precision in a context that is relevant for the education as a whole. The Course contents is related, inter alia, to the previous courses in the programme within the field of business, with an emphasis on the courses Macroeconomics and International Economics.
