About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:
- beskriva och förklara samhällsplaneringens historiska utveckling i Sverige och internationellt
- redogöra för olika planeringsteoretiska perspektiv
- redogöra för och värdera markanvändning och bebyggelsestruktur i stad och land
- genomföra ett projektarbete
Content
Kursen behandlar tre huvudsakliga spår, vilka integreras och avhandlas kronologiskt: planeringens historia, planeringsteori och internationell planering. Planeringens historia handlar om redogörelser för exempelvis övergången från de svenska generalplanerna till översiktsplanering, arkitekturhistorisk utveckling samt ger exempel på utvecklingen av svenska städer. I delen planeringsteori redogörs för grundläggande planeringsteorier, såsom den rationella planeringen och kommunikativ planering, samt för hur dessa teorier utvecklats. Slutligen jämförs internationell planering mellan det svenska systemet och internationella system, samt hur dessa har utvecklats.
