Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna
- redogöra för olika grammatiska perspektiv på språk
- diskutera hur olika grammatiska perspektiv och tillhörande begrepp kan användas för att analysera språkliga utsagor
- tillämpa olika grammatiska perspektiv i enkla språkliga analyser
- skriva olika typer av texter med hänsyn till sammanhang och mottagare
- beskriva svenska språksamhällets historiska utveckling, även i relation till andra nordiska språk
- beskriva materiella och historiska perspektiv på kommunikation och medier
- förklara hur skriftspråkliga normer uppstår och utvecklas
- beskriva och använda textanalytiska redskap i professionella och vetenskapliga texter i olika medier
- redogöra för grundprinciperna för professionell och vetenskaplig kommunikation och interaktion
- använda grundläggande teoretiska och praktiska kunskaper i presentationsteknik
- i teori och praktik tillämpa gällande normer för språkets korrekthet
- diskutera språkanvändning i relation till hållbar utveckling i samhället
- inom givna tidsramar genomföra och presentera en språkvetenskaplig empirisk studie

Content
Delkurs 1: Grammatiska perspektiv, 5 hp
I delkursen ges en översikt över olika grammatiska förhållningssätt och hur de kan tillämpas. I delkursen introduceras olika språkmodeller, språkteorier och tillhörande begrepp, och med hjälp av dessa beskrivs och diskuteras vad grammatik kan vara och hur den kan bli användbar.
Delkurs 2: Mediehistoriska perspektiv, 2,5 hp
Delkursen utgör en orientering i materiella och historiska perspektiv på medier och kommunikation.
Delkurs 3: Svenska språkets ursprung och utveckling, 7,5 hp
I delkursen behandlas svensk språk- och stilhistoria från urnordisk tid fram till nutid. I innehållet läggs fokus på hur språket förändrats och varför, även i relation till andra nordiska språk. Språkets utveckling hör ihop med hur samhället utvecklats – och en rad andra faktorer. I delkursen ges en insikt i hur det moderna textsamhället medför förändrade villkor för skrivande, textframställning och språkvård. När det gäller språkvård görs en fördjupning om hur normer och värderingar kring ett gott språkbruk har förändrats över tid.
Delkurs 4: Professionell kommunikation i tal och skrift, 7,5 hp
I delkursen behandlas språklig kommunikation inom olika yrken, organisationer och andra professionella sammanhang. Därutöver fokuseras hur vetenskaplig kommunikation fungerar i text. Delkursen omfattar principer för god muntlig och skriftlig kommunikation i olika medier samt i vetenskapliga sammanhang. Här ingår presentationsteknik i teori och praktik samt normer och regler för svenska språket.
Delkurs 5: Språkvetenskapligt arbete, 7,5 hp
I delkursen skrivs ett individuellt och självständigt språkvetenskapligt arbete. Delkursen inleds med en orientering om språkvetenskapliga forskningsmetoder och de krav som ställs på vetenskaplig text. Därefter ligger fokus på individuellt arbete med en empirisk studie. Detta görs under handledning. I delkursen ingår även att granska och opponera på en annan students arbete.
