About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna:
- redogöra för grundläggande begrepp inom den filosofiska semantiken
- resonera om de grundläggande filosofiska problemen kring kunskap
- tillämpa språkfilosofins och kunskapsteorins nyckelbegrepp
- diskutera hur pragmatiska faktorer samspelar med semantiska
- redogöra för olika uppfattningar om meningsbegreppet
- resonera kring olika sätt att hantera skeptiska utmaningar mot anspråk på att veta något.
Content
I kursen görs en översikt över den filosofiska semantiken och pragmatiken. Epistemologin, det filosofiska studiet av kunskap introduceras. Frågor kring kunskapens natur behandlas liksom den skeptiska utmaningen mot anspråk på att veta något. Vidare studeras några specifika språkfilosofiska problemkomplex, som exempelvis modalitet, vaghet och intensionalitet.
