About the course
Aim
The main objective is for students to develop proficiency with contemporary user-experience concepts and approaches in spatialized information in technically advanced development and presentation environments, building on design knowledge of conventional visualization media. The aim is to reach a relational level of understanding, where students integrate aspects of user experience, communicative intentions and technical feasibility into
· establishing the foundation for a design repertoire of augmented information spaces,
· developing knowledge on technical and use-related principles,
· developing craft skills in innovative concept design for augmented information spaces, and
· developing tool skills for design of augmented information spaces.
Content
Topics include augmented reality, focus and periphery, embodiment and spatialization, multimodality, smart materials, collaborative props and stages.
