          About the course

          Aim

The course goal is to apply and deepen the knowledge regarding solving challenges in the field of engineering energy technology. The course consist mainly of a big assignment/project with is solved in a project group. After completion of the course, the student must be able to:

          • measure, analyze and evaluate, or in terms of design, develop any energy technical model, program, or equipment.
          • apply methodological and subject knowledge from the field of mechanical engineering to energy technical problems/challenges.
          • evaluate and describe the context in which the mechanical engineering problem is evaluated.
          • find, critically examine, and acquire for the project relevant knowledge from scientific work and other sources of information.
          • be able to express themselves professionally in writing and orally.
          • actively participate and take individual responsibility in a project group.
          • formulate a project plan based on a given project specification, and continuously update and work towards it.
          • make assessments about relevant scientific, societal, and ethical aspects.

          Content

Technical content is dependent on the actual projects. Writing project plan, time plan. Information search. Documentation of the project results. Oral and written presentation of the project work.
