About the course
Aim
The course aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how signals and systems are represented, analyzed, and used in signal processing. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- describe and analyze continuous-time and discrete-time signals as well as linear time-invariant systems, including their fundamental properties
- apply key signal processing methods—such as convolution, Fourier analysis, and sampling—to study the behavior of signals and systems in the time and frequency domains
- explain and utilize fundamental concepts of stochastic processes, including autocorrelation and cross-correlationformulate,
- solve, and evaluate signal processing problems using computer-based tools, and interpret the results within relevant application contexts
