About the course
Aim
Efter avslutad kurs ska den studerande kunna
- redogöra för olika delar inom förskolepedagogik och förskolans pedagogiska uppdrag såsom lärande, omsorg, utveckling och undervisning
- redogöra för vetenskapliga teorier och perspektiv kring barns utveckling
- diskutera vilka konsekvenser olika synsätt på barn kan få för förskolans praktik
- redogöra för hur sociala kategoriseringar inverkar på barns utveckling och livsvillkor
- söka och sammanställa vetenskapliga studier rörande lek och lärande i förskolan med utgångspunkt i ett barnperspektiv
- diskutera lekens möjligheter för att utforska omvärlden och att utveckla kompetenser.
Content
Kursen behandlar teorier och begrepp om barns lek, lärande och utveckling utifrån olika perspektiv och knyts till förskolans utbildning och undervisning. Frågor om sociala villkor behandlas relaterat till sociala kategorier och kontextens betydelse för förskolan. I kursen belyses förskolans innehåll med fokus på omsorg, fostran, lek, utveckling och lärande; barns utveckling och livsvillkor; samt olika perspektiv på såväl barn och barndom som på barns utveckling och lärande. Förskolans värdegrund och hållbar utveckling, med fokus på social hållbarhet, behandlas i relation till förskolepedagogikens innehåll och innebörder.
I kursen behandlas även teorier om lek, socialisation och lärande inriktat på barns aktörskap. Betydelsen av sociala kategorier såsom ålder, genus, etnicitet och klass för barns lek och lärande diskuteras från såväl vuxen- som barnperspektiv. I kursen behandlas både lekens egenvärde och hur lek bidrar till lärande och utveckling. Kursens innehåll relateras till läroplanen för förskolan, till förskoleverksamheten samt till förskolans pedagogiska och didaktiska innehåll. I kursen behandlas även vetenskapligt förhållningssätt och vad som kännetecknar vetenskapliga studier.
